Oregon Universities and Colleges That Require COVID Booster Injections

PORTLAND, Oregon – Oregon’s seven public universities require COVID-19 vaccinations for students and staff on campus. Of those seven universities, Oregon and the state of Oregon have publicly announced a recall requirement. Some private schools in the state, such as the University of Portland, Willamette University, and Lewis & Clark College, have also announced that they will need boosters.

Universities and public colleges

University of Eastern Oregon (NO): EOU does not have any information on a recall requirement on its website. Oregon Institute of Technology (NO): The ILO does not have a booster requirement, but on its website it says “that it is strongly recommended that every vaccinated person receive their COVID booster before returning to campus” for the winter term . Oregon State University (YES): OSU announced on December 28 that it would require COVID-19 booster injections for students and staff when they become eligible during the winter term. More info here

Portland Community College (NO): CCP does not require vaccines and does not require a booster. “We strongly encourage vaccination and have organized and will host other vaccination clinics to provide vaccination opportunities for our students and staff. Linfield University (NO): Linfield is demanding that all “students (full-time or part-time), employees, volunteers and contract vendor employees housed on campus … be vaccinated against COVID-19,” according to its website.
