Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike challenged the federal government to show where it has deployed all the money borrowed from external creditors I need money now
It’s like he said that Nigeria has enormous resources, so well managed, can change not only the fortunes of the country but the lives of every Nigerian.
Wike spoke on Thursday in Port Harcourt during the inauguration of the Rumuola road bridge, which was carried out by a former governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko.
The governor said her I need money now administration was driven by love and commitment to service, which is why she works diligently and wisely deploys the state’s resources, for the good of the people of Rivers.
He said: âIt is very clear that governance is not by magic. It’s all about commitment. It is about your love for your people and your country.
âThis country has enormous resources to change the lives of our people. No one should give excuses. As we would always say, if you don’t have it, you don’t have it.
âSo all these stories that you borrowed money here and there, let’s see what the money is for. If we borrowed money, we show the people in Rivers what we used the money for. ”
Wike said he was concerned about the duties of governance and service to those who elected him, noting that his best response to the opposition was proof of the quality projects his administration has continued to deliver.
During the inauguration of the project, Dr Mimiko declared that Governor Wike had proved himself worthy of the nickname: âMr. Project!â.
Mimiko said, âThose who feel disturbed by the words and actions of Governor Wike cannot forget the fact that he designs projects, plans projects, carries out projects because he loves projects.
âSome see governance or being in government as an end in itself, you have deployed your unlimited energy, through these achievements, to demonstrate that governance is a means to an end; improving the lives of our people.
