Some Illinois colleges have enacted a tuition freeze for the 2022-23 academic year, which means incoming students will not pay more tuition than students who enrolled a year earlier.
Illinois’ “Truth in Tuition” law states that undergraduate students enrolled in the state will not see a tuition increase during their first four years of graduate school. The state is one of three in the United States to have tuition freeze laws, along with Oklahoma and Texas.
